Osieczkowska, Celina, nee Filipowicz
Historian of Bysantinian Art. Born in Poland. Graduated from Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland with Ph.D. degree. Elected correspondent of "Polska Akademia Umiejetnosci" (Polish Academy of Sciences) in Krakow, Poland. Author of: "La Mosaique de Sainte Sophie de Constantinople." In 1936 member of International Convention of Byzantinists and Art Historians in Rome, and in 1939 in London attended another session of said organization. In 1939 as a refuge from Poland went to Portugal and later to Brazil, where she died, Sept. 13, 1941 in Curitiba, Brazil.
