[Sadowski here] [Space] ANTHONY SADOWSKI -- early pioneer of Penna.-- as Henry Archacki of New York City, noted artist, depicts him from the composite features of two descendants, Anthony Sandusky Wilson and William M. Springer, the second of Anthony Sadowski's direct descendants who was a U.S. Congressman.

When reference is made to the first Pol-Am congressman, it should be remembered that George S. Shanklin, who came from a district in Kentucky and served in the 39th Congress, and William M. Springer, who said that he would rather be right than President, were both of Polish descent.
