Cebelinska, Pelagia Agatha
Teacher. Born Jan. 6,1906 in Erie, Pa.; daughter of Elizabeth and Vincent Cebelinski. Attended St. Stanislaus School at Erie, Pa., 1912-1919; St. Benedict's Academy, private school for girls, 1919-1920; St. Stanislaus H.S., 1920-1923; Edinboro State Normal School, 1923-1925. Teaching at Garfield Public School from 1925 to the present time. Conducted evening classes for Americanization of Polish men and women, 1927-1929. Received B.S. in Education from Teachers' College in Edinboro, Pa., 1935, with high honors. Member of a Committee for the Revision of Curriculum; taught English in Erie Public Schools; Chairman of the 4th grade committee in 1935. Received "M.S. in Education" from University of Pittsburgh, June, 1941.

Hobbies: collecting foreign dolls, glassware, dishes, china, silver, clay and travel. Visited 38 states in the Union, Cuba, Bermuda, West Indies, Barbadoes, Trinidad, Grenada, St. Kitts, Nevis St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Tobago, Dominican Republic, British Guiana, Panama Canal Zone, Catalina Islands, Italy, France, Greece, Syria (narrowly escaped with life from Arabs), Palestine, Egypt. Special studies completed at N.Y. University, Allegheny College, Penn State and University of Pittsburgh.
