Celichowski, Very Rev. Bronislaus
Dean and Consultor of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Wis. Born October 22, 1872 in Kcynia, Poland. Came to U.S. in 1886 and settled in Milwaukee, Wis. (Ordained June 18, 1898 in St. Francis Seminary, St. Francis, Wis. From September 23, 1909 to April 25, 1915 pastor of St. Casimir Parish in Milwaukee, Wis. Since April 25, 1915 pastor of St. Cyril and Methodius Parish in Milwaukee, Wis. National Chaplain of the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America, 1914-1937 he accomplished much to achieve the independence of Poland for which he was decorated by Poland with an Order of "Polonia Restituta" and "Miecze Hallerowskie.''
