Cetner, John A.

Physician. Born in Amsterdam, N. Y.; son of Anthony Cetnarowski. Attended University of Missouri and Syracuse University. Graduate of University of Michigan, Medical School, with M.D. degree. Interne at Yonkers General Hospital. Spent three years in New York City, practicing in the Tonsil Hospital, Manhattan Eye and Ear Hospital, and in Brooklyn Eye and Ear Hospital. He is an eye specialist. Well known in the Polish circles in Amsterdam and New York City. Took active part in Kosciuszko Foundation. Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology; Fellow of American Academy of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology; Instructor in Ophthalmology at Albany Medical College; on the staff of the Albany Hospital; married Miss Evelyn Dulbs-Hodoski.

Career: prof., prof. emeritus, Albany Medical College.

Member of: chairman, Legislative Committee, New York State Ophthalmological Society, 1960-73; American Medical Association (AMA); American Board of Ophthalmology; New York State Medical Society; American Academy of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology; American College of Surgery.

Honors: Humanitarian Award, Children Hospital Foundation, 1989.

Served with: United States Navy (USN), lieutenant commander, 1943-46.
