Chlopicki, Louis
Major of the Polish Insurgent Army in 1831. In 1834 resided for some time in Chicago, Ill., being an emissary to undertake a colonization of Polish refugees in Illinois. A nephew of General John Chlopicki, hero of the Napoleonic Wars and the leader of the November Insurrection in Poland in 1830.
