Cichon, Maryla Emilia
Teacher. Born in Kalamazoo, Mich., July 16, 1918; daughter of Leonard and Magdalene (Piasecki) Cichon. Went to Poland when three years old. Educated in Bygdoszcz, Poland, where she attended elementary and high school, of Mary Konopnicki. Returned to U.S. in 1938. Engaged as a teacher in the school of music in Detroit, Mich. Member of P.N.A. in Hamtramck Mich.; vice supervisor of Navy League of Hamtramck, Mich.; Conrad Club of Detroit; Youth league of Polish National Defense; Youth Club of Detroit; member of Maccabee Hive. In Poland she was a member of Girl Scouts, Women's Military Service, Red Cross, Navy League, Colonial League.
