Ciechanski, Rev. Anthony Adam
Born Jan. 4, 1897 in Buffalo, N. Y.; son of Marion and Mary (Rutkowski) Ciechanski. Graduate of St. John Kanty grammar school. Attended Canisius High, Buffalo, N. Y., 1911-1912; St. Mary's High School and College, Orchard Lake, Mich., 1912-1916; SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary, Orchard Lake, Mich., 1916-1919; St. Bonaventure, Alleghany, N. Y., 1919-1922. Ordained at Buffalo, N. Y., April 8, 1922 by Most Rev. Wm. Turner. Bishop of Buffalo. Appointed assistant pastor at St. Barbara's Church, Lackawanna,
N.Y., 1922-1940; assistant pastor at St. Adalbert's Church, Buffalo, N. Y.,
1940-1942. Member of P.N A.; P.R.C.U.; Albright Art Association of Buffalo, N. Y.; Association of Polish Priests; Buffalo Auto Club; Park Country Club. Wrote many sketches for amateur theater stage. Best known was: "Szewc Walenty w Klasztorze," a play in 4 acts.
