Cwiakala, Rev. Paul, Ph.D.
Born in 1865 in Sanok, Poland. Received secondary education in Sanok in 1888. Studied theology in Theological Institute, Przemysl, Poland, 1888 1892. Engaged by Rev. Dabrowski and came to U.S. in 1892. From 1892 to 1895 professor at Polish Seminary, Detroit, Mich.; editor of the Polish weekly paper, "Niedziela." From 1895 to 1899 pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Cleveland, Ohio. In 1899 left for Rome, where in 1901 he received his Ph.D. degree. In 1901 came back to U.S. and became pastor in Berea, Ohio, for six years, 1901-1907. In 1907 left for Poland.
