Czaplinski, Rev. John J.
Born April 14, 1878, in Poland. In 1885 came to Nanticoke. Attended St. Stanislaus school. Graduated St. Stanislaus College, Chicago, Ill. Studied theology at St. Vincent Seminary, Latrobe, Pa., where he was ordained July 4, 1907. In 1907-1909 pastor of St. Hedwig's parish, Duquesne, Pa. From 1909 till his death, pastor of St. John Kanty parish at Sharpsburg, Pa. Took part in all Civic and patriotic activities. Died October 20, 1941.
