Czarniecki, John
Engineer. Born in 1912 in Seattle, Wash. Graduated from the University of Washington, received M.S. degree in 1938. Invented a special apparatus for landing of clipper planes. This apparatus is 24 feet long, 18 feet wide and weighs 30,000 pounds; used to beach planes in London, New York, South and Central America. In 1938 the Engineer's Association gave a banquet in his honor; Received an award of 500 dollars from the Lincoln Arc Welding Foundation. At present, mechanical engineer at the Kenworth Motor Truck Corp., of Seattle, Wash.
