Gromoslaw Czempinski
consultant, security service chief

During the years 1972-76 worked as an agent of the (PRL) Polish Intelligence service under diplomatic cover in Chicago. Possibly he was tracking the anti-communist movement among Polonia in the United States.

After 1989 he underwent verification and in 1993 made chief of the new Polish Security Service.

In 1990 he led a covert operation which brought American diplomats (CIA intelligence agents) and the valuable information they posessed out of Iraq under the cover of Polish passports.

Retired from the Polish Security Service in 1996, and went into private security consulting earning large fees.

In 2011 he was accused of taking illegal payments, money laundering and influence peddling during the "privatization period" which included the privatization of various government operated firms.
