Jarecki, Edmund K.
Lawyer. Cook County Judge. Born 1880 in Posen, Poland. Came to U.S. in 1885. Graduated from Northeastern University with a degree of LL.B. in 1908. Elected alderman of 33rd ward in Chicago. In 1914 appointed to a vacancy on the municipal bench. In 1922 elected judge of the county court and has been there ever since, having been re-elected in 1926, 1930, 1934, and 1942. Supervises the elections of the largest territorial county in U.S. In 1937 decorated by P.N.A. of U.S. Member of Illinois Athletic Club, Illinois and Milwaukee Bar Ass'n. Honorary member of the Swedish Engineers Club. Married and has three children: John, Marie and Virginia.
