In 1991 the Polish American Social Club of Pasadena celebrated its 50th Anniversary. Organized as a social group to bring together people of Polish background, the club holds meetings built around Polish themes such as folk dances, music, travel slides, and typical Polish food. Members support other Polish-American groups in the area promoting the Polish socio-cultural heritage, and are generous in their support of Szarotka (the Polish Retirement Home), the Polish Parish and other noteworthy causes. Past fund-raising events have included trips to Sea World, plays, Bingo and other card games.

Prominent Polish-Americans involved in the club over the years include Harriet and Howard Teachout (the club's president for 17 years), Stacy lwinski, Irena Andrews, Helen Korba, J. Skiba, E. Mazurek, William and Agnes Kneeling, Casimir and Eleanor Miko. Current officers include Joanna Giedzinski, President; CIara Wollonciej, Vice-President; Casey M. Jurczak, Secretary/Treasurer. The club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the International House of Pancakes on Arroyo Parkway in Pasadena for lunch, a business meeting and social period.
