Samuel James Babicz Christened In Lincoln Park

New Jersey - It was a very proud day for Michele and Richard Babicz of Lincoln Park. On Sunday, March 2nd, together with a host of very happy family members, they participated in the Christening of their second son, Samuel James, at St. Joseph's Church in Lincoln Park. Beaming with that big brother grin was 2 1/2 year old Adam Joseph who dutifully watched the ceremony.

The sacred sacrament of Baptism was administered to Samuel by Deacon Joseph Parlapiano of St. Joseph's.

Samuel's grandparents, Gloria and Ed Wilczynski and Louise and Stanley Babicz were totally overjoyed at the celebration of their second grandson. Godparents for young Sammy were Diane and Humberto Fernandini, the sister and brother-in-law of Rich Babicz.

Afterwards, a reception was held at "The French Hill Inn" in Wayne for about 60 family members and friends. And, Sammy totally enjoyed the afternoon by maintaining his quiet stature and smiling for everyone (when he wasn't hungry, of course).

Samuel James Babicz was born during the first snowfall of the season on December 6th, 2002, at 3:15 am in St. Barnaba's Hospital in Livingston. He weighed 9 pounds 13 ounces and measured 21 3/4 inches.

By his Christening day, young Sammy was a respectable 14 pounds 14 ounces, a definite indication that he's a rising sports star.

Our Polonia salutes you, Sammy Babicz. May you live a long, healthy and prosperous life!
