Bagienski to seek re-election to Shenandoah Borough Council

John Bagienski announced his candidacy for re-election to a position on council for the Borough of Shenandoah.

Bagienski is a member of St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church. He is also a member of the Polish-American Fire Company and the Shenandoah Fire Police, where he served as financial secretary.

He was also Past Commander of the A.P. Damato Medal of Honor Post 792, in 1984 and 1989.

Also, Bagienski is a Life Member of the Allen Mowery VFW Post 268 and of the Order of the Purple Heart; and a member of the 34th Division; he was wounded at Anzio Beach, Italy May 30, 1944.

In addition, he is a Life Member of Combat Infantry; a Life Member and Past Commander, as well as present senior vice commander, of the A. Osinki Disabled Veterans Chapter 31.

His other positions include Deputy Chief of Staff of the Disabled American Veterans - Department of Pennsylvania; Past Commander of District Two, Disabled American Veterans.

Bagienski's other associations include the Senior Citizens of Shenandoah and the Historical Society of Shenandoah.

Bagienski served as a councilman for the Borough of Shenandoah for four years beginning in 1997.
