Businesswoman, WW II Veteran

Anne Z. Baiada (nee Zakula), age 82, Moorestown, passed away peacefully
at home surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday March 3, 2004.

Mrs. Baiada was born in Brlog Yugoslavia and came to the U.S. with her family through Ellis Island where they settled in Kinney Minnesota in 1928. She has been a resident of Moorestown for the past 15 years after moving from Delanco where she had resided since 1961. Anne joined the U.S. Navy in 1942 and served her country during WW II. She had been a parishioner of St. Peter's RC Church in Riverside but more recently of Our Lady of Good Counsel RC Church in Moorestown. Mrs. Baiada worked along side her husband as the owner and operator of Baiada Insurance Co. in Delanco for 18 years before her retirement in 1976.

A funny, strong, family woman and matriarch, Mrs. Baiada is the widow of her late husband Laurence A. Baiada and is survived by her children; her primary care givers; Mark and his wife Ann Baiada of Moorestown, Michael of Evergreen, CO, Matthew of Delanco, Martin of Hamburg, PA, Mel of Moorestown and Mitchell Baiada of Louisville, NC. Anne is also survived by and is the proud Grandmother of 16.

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 11 A.M. at St. Peter's RC Church Bridgeboro & Hancock Sts. Riverside. Interment will follow liturgy at St. Peter's Cemetery also In Riverside.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the Baiada family and share their fondest memories of Anne on Friday evening between 6 and 9 P.M. and on Saturday morning between 9:30 and 10:30 A.M. at the Sweeney Funeral Home, 337 Bridgeboro St., Riverside, NJ.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers the Baiada family request that donations be made to the St. Peter's School, 101 Middleton St., Riverside, NJ 08075 Att: Principal Joseph Chinnicci.
