Beloved wife of the late George E. Bakota; devoted mother of Danielle Bakota of W. Berlin, NJ and Brian (Lisa) Bakota of Sicklerville, NJ, daughter of Victoria Waskiewicz of Collingswood, grandmother of Evan and Shelby Bakota; sister of Eileen (Martin) Nilsen of Chelsea, AL, and Victoria (Steven) Sharpe of Glen Allen, VA; aunt of Christopher and Kaitlyn Nilsen; aunt and godmother of Tori Sharpe; also by her canine companions, Hunter and Sierra.
Joann was a member of St. Joseph High School, Camden, Class of '60. Mrs. Bakota was a legal secretary in Philadelphia, retiring In 2003 from Drinker, Biddle & Reath.
Viewing Wed. 7-9 P.M. in Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, 226 Collings Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Funeral Thursday 8:30 A.M. from the Funeral Home. Mass 10 A.M. at Transfiguration R.C. Church, Collingswood, NJ. Interment in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
