Steffie T. (Yelito) Baldyga, a homemaker, died peacefully on Wednesday morning, January 5, 2005, in Mercy Suburban Hospital of East Norriton Township. She was 85.

Mrs. Baldyga, resident of Swedesburg, was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Swedesburg, the Rosary Society of the Parish and the Union of Polish Women Group #24. In 2003, Mrs. Baldyga had a personal visit from his Eminence Anthony Cardinal Bevilaqua.

Born in Lansford, PA on September 1, 1919, she was the daughter of the Paul and Mary (Glod) Yelito. She was also the widow of Chester Baldyga, whom died August 15, 1990.

Surviving are three daughters: Marie Baldyga of Swedesburg, Eileen Baldyga of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Suzanne Baldyga of Norristown; one son, Edward Bale and his wife Florence, of Staten Island, New York; grandchildren: Jennifer and Nicole Bale; brother, Stanley Yelito of Center Square.

She is preceded in death by a brother, John Yelito; three sisters: Anna Kielbasa, Sister Mary Christian, and Mary Yelito.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 8, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C., Jefferson Street, Swedesburg. Fr. Andrew McCormick, parochial administrator, will officiate.

Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia.

Viewing will be on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. at the church.

The family request memorial contributions be made to either Sacred Heart Church, Building Fund, 120 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, PA 19405 or to the American Heart Association, 625 West Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA 19428.

Arrangements are by the Bernard S. Gutkowski Funeral Home, Swedesburg, Upper Merion Township.
