Balko, Ted
National cornhusking champion. Born in Redwood Falls, Minn. in 1905. Won a national title as champion corn husker in 1934 at Fairmont, Minn. The contest attracted 125,000 spectators. He husked 25.78 bushels. Won the title second time in 1938. He was credited with husking 22.24 bushels.
