Sherry Banas (1943 - 2006)
Registered Nurse

Sherry Banas, 63, of Miami, passed away January 14, 2006.

Sherry was born in Illinois and grew up on her family's farm until moving to Ft. Lauderdale. She then went into nursing and became a Registered Nurse where she worked at J.M.H., later meeting her future husband Frank Banas. Sherry and Frank were married for over 34 years. Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 2002.

They had one son, Scott, who when he was born, Sherry semi-retired for seven years to stay home and raise him. She then went back to work at Doctors Hospital as a Registered Nurse for the next 25 plus years. Sherry (mom) was an amazing, abundantly generous, loving, and caring mom and individual.

She is survived by her loving son, Scott, daughter-in-law, Peaches (daughter she never had) and her true golden treasures, her grandchildren who she adored, Austin, 7, and Dawson, 4. As well as her extremely funny brother, Ted, and sister-in-law, Charlotte. Not to mention her niece, Cherie, and all her caring friends and family.
