Barabasz, Karol P.
Concert violinist. Born March 17, 1919, in Buffalo, N. Y.; the son of Andrew and Agnes Barabasz. Graduated St. John Kanty School in 1934; East High School in 1938; Attended Oberlin Conservatory of Music 1939-1941 on a scholarship. Began study of violin at age of 12. First public appearance at age of 15. Appeared as soloist in Buffalo, N. Y., Oberlin, Elyria, Cleveland, 0. and New York City. In Buffalo appeared as soloist on numerous occasions at Dom Polski, St. John Kanty Lyceum, International Institute and Buffalo Museum of Science. Also appeared as soloist with Chopin Singing Society, 1941 and as soloist with Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra in Kleinhans Music Hall, 1942. Married Feb. 14, 1942, to Charlotte Schendel, pianist. Member of Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Residence:
