Baran, Very Rev. Felix, O.M.C., D.D.
Born April 20, 1870 in Poland. Studied at Franciscan Fathers Seminary. Ordained Dec. 23, 1893, in Trenton, N. J Pastor of St. Stanislaus Church, Trenton, N. J., 1893-1897. From 1897-1906 Pastor of St. Adalbert's parish. Elmhurst, L. I., N. Y., 1897-1906. Pastor of St. Michael's Church of Bridgeport, Conn., 1906-1914. From Sept. 19, 1914 Pastor of St. Josaphat's Basilica, Milwaukee, Wis., 1914-1942. Elected provincial of the St. Bonaventure's Province with headquarters in Milwaukee, Wis in 1939. Established libraries at different parishes. Contributed many articles to Polish papers, especially to "Nowiny Polskie" in Milwaukee, Wis. Died in July, 1942.
