Joseph R. Baranowski Sr. (1945 - 2006)
Truck driver, businessman, Army veteran

Joseph R. Baranowski Sr., a truck driver of West Conshohocken, died Wednesday evening, Jan. 25, 2006. He was born in Bryn Mawr on July 18, 1945, son of Sue (DeRado) and the late John G. Baranowski Sr. Joe was 60.

Joe was a parishioner of St. Mary R.C. Church in Conshohocken. Joe was a student at the former St. Mary Grade School and Conshohocken High School, class of 1963. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving most of his time in Alaska. Joe was a CDL driver for Mastracola Trucking Co. and Equivest Co. He also was the proprietor of the former Joe's Rugs, a carpet company based in Bryn Mawr. He was a member of the Conshohocken VFW 1074, CBC Club, TK Club, and the Lanutti Post, all of Conshohocken. Among Joe's many interests were fishing and golf.

Joe is survived by two sons: Joseph Jr. and Mark of Calif.; his mother, Sue of Conshohocken; one brother, John (Eileen) Baranowski Jr. of Bridgeport; his dearest companion, Patricia Smith of Conshohocken; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased in life by one sister, Patricia Murphy, and one brother, Dennis Baranowski.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joe's funeral Mass, which will commence at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's R.C. Church, Oak and Elm St., Conshohocken. Interment is private in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial donations in Joe's name may be made to St. Mary's Parish, W. Elm and Oak Sts., Conshohocken, PA 19428.
