F. Alex Barkowski ( - 2004)
Project manager, Korean War Veteran.

F. Alex Barkowski, of Cinnaminson, passed away on Wednesday Feb. 25, 2004, at the Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Mt. Laurel.

Mr. Barkowski was born in Philadelphia and had been a longtime Cinnaminson resident before moving to Mt. Laurel. Alex was a parishioner of the St. Charles Borromeo R.C. Church in Cinnaminson.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was awarded the Korean, United Nations and National Defense service medals. Alex worked for Cigna in Voorhees as a project manager for 17 years before retiring in 1992.

Mr. Barkowski is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Mary Barkowski (nee White) of Cinnaminson and is the father of Lisa and her husband Daniel of Blue Bell, PA, Susan Barkowski of Cinnaminson and Maureen Barkowski, of Moorestown. Alex is the proud grandfather of 2 and is the brother of the late Feci Tarquinio.

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11:30 A.M. at St. Charles Borromeo R.C. Church, 2226 Riverton Rd., Cinnaminson. Interment will follow at the N.J. Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Arrangement The Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the Barkowski family and share their fondest memories or Alex on Monday morning between 10:30 and 11:30 A.M. at the Church.
