Stephen Barniak ( - 2003)
Aircraft Mechanic, WW II Veteran

Stephen Barniak, died on November 21, 2003, of Havertown PA, formerly of the Fairmount Section of Philadelphia.

He attended Girard College and Spring Garden Institute. He served in the Air Force in WW II as an Aircraft Mechanic. Mr. Barniak was an active member of St. Dorothy's RC Church and a resident of Havertown for 41 years. He worked for GE for 25 years at both the Valley Forge and 69th & Elmwood facilities. His hobbies were gardening, swimming and doing volunteer work for the blind.

He was the husband of Anne M. (nee Valle); father Patricia (David) Atkinson, Rosemary David and Barbara Barniak; grandchildren, Stephanie and Catharine Atkinson; one sister, Ann Zebrowski.

Memorial Service was held at St. Dorothy's RC Church in Drexel Hill PA on Nov. 25th. Mr. Barniak was Interred at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Broomall, PA.
