Born in Jeddo, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Bartko.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was a brother, Nicholas. Surviving is his wife of 41 years, the former Nancy Getz, White Haven; son, Joseph Bartko, Pittston; daughters, Patricia Smith, Reston, Va., Susan Bartko, Piscataway; brothers, Michael, Va., John, Indiana; sisters, Anna Bartko, Jeddo, Mary Trocha and Martha Kuhn, both of Erie, Helen Albright, Hazleton, Elizabeth Wandishin, Indiana, and Alice Piazzi, Freeland; and three grandchildren.
Private funeral services were held in Manville.
