Barwicki, Karol J.
Captain of the 58th Infantry of New York, N. Y. Active in the Polish Legion in Hungary during 1848. Came to United States as a political refugee. Enlisted at the beginning of the Civil War as a private in the 57th Infantry. On May 1, 1862 commissioned Lieutenant, appointed captain October 21, 1863, received honorary discharge June 11, 1864, Deceased.
