Barzynski, John
Editor, publisher, and teacher, Born in 1848 in Tomaszow, Poland. From 1870 to 1872 was a teacher in the Parish School at Panna Maria, Texas. On March 29, 1872 became editor and publisher of Polish weekly paper "Pielgrzym" in Union Mo. From September 15, 1874 to 1880 editor and publisher of "Gazeta Katolicka" in Detroit and later in Chicago, Ill. In 1880 went to St. Paul, Minnesota where he organized new Polish settlements. In 1874 organized a Polish Organization to unite all the Polish immigrants, which failed. Died in 1886 in Chicago, Ill.
