Teacher. Born Dec. 13, 1906 in Chicago, Ill.; son of Adalbert and Caroline Bawelek. Education: St. Stanislaus parochial school, 1921, and St. Stanislaus College, 1925, both at Chicago, Ill. Graduated from De Paul University with Ph.D. degree. Attended Northwestern University of Chicago, Ill., in 1931. Teacher at Weber High, Morton High, and Wells High Schools. President of St. Joseph's Brothers. Married Leontine Siemiaszko, Nov. 22. 1941.
