Career: democratic committeeman (1976), Democratic leader of the 64th Ward ( ) comprising about 10,000 constituents; Member of the nine member Philadelphia Board of Education (2001 - 2003); member of the five member Philadelphia School Reform Commission (2003 - 2011?) representing city of Philadelphia confirmed by State Senate; Democratic candidate in the 6th Councilmanic District.

Chief executive officer of the Washington Savings Association (small community bank); real estate appraiser and consultant for the family owned Bednarek Real Estate & Insurance.

Founder and director of the Northeast Girls Basketball Club; also coach of the team (about 30 years).

Affiliation: Democrat, Roman Catholic.
