Civic leader. Born Jan. 1, 1912 in Manchester, N. H.; son of John and Anna Betley. Graduated from St. Casimir's Parochial School, Manchester, N. H.; Manchester H.S., and St. Anselm's Academy of Manchester, N. H. in 1932. Graduated from Dale-Carnegie Institute, 1940. Elected to the New Hampshire State Legislature from Fifth Ward, Manchester, N. H. for two years (1934 36). Re-elected for another term (1936-1938). Only Polish member in the House of Representatives of New Hampshire from 1934 to 1938, Claims examiner for the New Hampshire Unemployment Compensation Division, Bureau of Labor from Oct., 1937 to Dec., 1938, In 1938 promoted to Senior Claims Examiner for the State. Member of the International Association of Public Employment Service of time U.S. and Canada. Member: T. T. Kosciuszko Club (director); Mutual Cooperation Club of the Knights of Pulaski and Derryfield Club. Address: 143 A Manchester Street, Manchester, N. H.
