Bloch, Adam
Public official. Editor. Born in Chicago, Ill. Dec. 7., 1884.
Studied in St. Stanislaus College, Chicago. He was a teacher in Pennsylvania and in Winnipeg, Canada, where he edited a Polish weekly. Appointed president of Teachers College in Canada. Upon his return to Chicago, worked on the editorial staff of "Polonia," a Polish weekly, published in Chicago, Ill., 1917 1932. He later became chief-editor of that paper. In 1930 appointed chief clerk of recorder's office of Cook County. In 1932 elected clerk of Supreme Court of Illinois and in 1938 re-elected for another six year term. Married and father of two sons. Member of P.N.A., and Polish Newspapermen's Guild. Died in 1940, in Chicago, Ill.
