Wojciech Blonski, M.D., Ph.D.

Wojciech Blonski was born in Wroclaw, Poland. In 2000, he graduated with honors from the Wroclaw Medical University and obtained the degree of Medical Doctor. During Postgraduate Doctoral studies at Wroclaw Medical University in 2004, Dr. Blonski received a grant from the Kosciuszko Foundation to do research in digestive disorders at the University of Pennsylvania under the mentorship of Dr. David Metz. Subsequently, Dr. Blonski received a Niedzwirski Foundation grant and the Dr. Donald Castell Award for a research fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.

In 2007, Dr. Blonski defended his doctoral thesis (Ph.D.) at the Wroclaw Medical University. Since then, he has worked as a research scholar at the Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Blonski has authored 55 research papers and book chapters in internationally recognized medical journals and books, and has presented 70 posters at international scientific meetings in gastroenterology. Dr. Blonski is a member of the Editorial Board of the World Journal of Gastroenterology and Gastroenterology and Hepatology Canada, an associate editor and member of Editorial Board of BMC Gastroenterology, and peer reviewer in multiple scientific journals.
