Borowski, Joseph
Merchant. Born near Kalisz, Poland, in 1877. Received technical education in Poland and Germany. Worked at Riga, Kilaw, Odessa. In 1900 managed a factory at Ewing, Germany. Visited Belgium, Holland, Switzerland and France. In 1902 came to Pittsburgh, Pa. Settled in Buffalo, N.Y., in 1906. Organized the Barter Supply and Cuttery Co. in 1922. Member of Singing Circle and Polish Falcons. Active in civic and patriotic affairs.
