Brachocki, Alexander
Concert pianist. Born in Scranton, Pa. During 1930, 1931 and 1932 studied piano under Ignace John Paderewski in Morges, Switzerland. He was one of the best liked pupils of Paderewski. In 1932 at the invitation of Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, he appeared as a soloist with the above orchestra in Warsaw. Before the World War II he was on the faculty of Conservatory of Music at Katowicz [Katowice], Poland. During his stay in Poland he gave numerous concerts in London, Warsaw, Paris and other large cities of Europe. He fled from Europe to escape Nazi oppression and now resides with his family in Brooklyn, N. Y. Residence: 557 First Street, Brooklyn, N. Y.
