Brodowski, Zbigniew Edmund
Editor, consular official. Born in 1852 in Poznan, Poland. Received his classical education in Srem, graduated from Universities in Leipzig and Breslan, Germany. In 1876 came to U.S. and became editor of "Kuryer Nowoyorski." In 1876 went to San Francisco, Cal.; in 1884 came to Chicago, engaged as editor of "Gazeta Chicagoska." In 1884 engaged as editor of "Zgoda," organ of Polish National Alliance, later elected president of said organization. In 1885 edited an address in support of the independence of Poland and sent it to the respective governments in Berlin, Vienna and Lemberg [Lwow]. In 1896 was nominated U.S. Consul to Solingen, Germany. Died in 1901 in New York City.
