Brzezinski, Thaddeus
Diplomat. Polish Consul at Montreal, Canada. Born in Zloczow, Poland, Feb. 21, 1896. Following elementary school he graduated from the University of Lwow (Lemberg), Poland, in Law and Economics and took his post graduate course in these studies at Vienna and Prague. In 1919 he received his degree of Doctor of Laws from the University of Lwow. During the first World War he fought with the Polish forces in defense of Lwow and Warsaw. He served three years with the Polish Army, from 1918 to 1921, and holds the rank of Lieutenant in the Polish Army Reserve. During 1927 and 1928 he held important duties with the Administration of the Department of Foreign Affairs at Warsaw. In 1921 he was assigned Consul of Poland to France at Lille; in 1931 he was transferred to Leipzig, Germany, where he remained as Consul until 1935. During 1936 and 1937 he acted as Consul General at Charkow, U.S.S.R. and on Nov. 1, 1938, was sent to Canada in capacity of Consul with offices at Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
