Brzoziewski, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph
Roman Catholic priest. Born in Poland in 1878. Completed philosophy and theology studies in United States. Ordained by Cardinal Farley in 1902. First assignment as pastor of St. Adalbert's Church, Port Richmond, Staten
Island. He completed the building of the church, erected a modern parochial school and sisters convent. He organized numerous church societies and sodalities. A leader of Polish-Americans in Richmond County. Pastor of St. Adalbert's Church since 1902. For his services to the Church, Pope Pius XII elevated him to the rank of Domestic Prelate in 1942.
