Budny, Stanley
Painter and decorator. Born January 30, 1902 in Wielowies, Poland. In 1909 came to U.S., settling in Milwaukee. Served in marine corps 1919-1922. Attended St. Hyacinth's and Windlake Avenue Schools in Milwaukee; South Division High, Hanover, and Vocational Schools in Milwaukee; studied automobile mechanics, Milwaukee; attended the naval aviation school, Great Lakes, Ill. Member of Painters, Decorators and Paperhangers Union, Local No. 781, former secretary of painters union Local 392; member of county executive Board of Socialist Party and Farmer-Labor Progressive Federation. Member of Wisconsin Workers' Committee, secretary of Wisconsin Workers Alliance 1934. Active in FERA (Federal Emergency Relief Administration); member of Polish National Alliance.
