U.S. Army Chaplain. Born in Custer, Wis., April 18, 1893. Elementary education completed locally. Graduate of St. Lawrence University. Studied theology at St. Joseph's Seminary, Dunwoodie, N. Y. Ordained Sept. 1, 1918. First position at Immaculate Conception parish, Port Jervis, N. Y., 1918 1920. Assistant at St. Joseph's parish, Florida, N. Y., 1920-1922. Pastor of Sacred Heart parish, Port Chester, N. Y., 1922-1924. In 1924 appointed pastor of St. Stanislaus parish in New York, N. Y. and still in that post. Former president of District 25, Polish American Council in New York City. Enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1941, with the rank of captain. After serving several months with the armed forces in numerous army camps in the United States commissioned major in the U.S. Army. Member of U.S. Army Chaplains Association: Polish Legion of American Veterans. Decorated by the Government of Poland with order of "Polonia Restituta." Member of P.N.A., P.R.C.U. and numerous other organizations. Went overseas in 1942. Former chaplain of the Association of Sons of Poland and Polish National Alliance of Brooklyn, N. Y.
