Buszek, Francis
Merchant. Born Nov. 8, 1870 in Muszyna, Poland. Son of Joseph and Frances Jedrzejowski Buszek. Educated in Poland. In 1892 conscripted to military service; served three years in Austrian army. In 1895 came to United States. Worked in Nanticoke, Shenandoah, where he established a grocery business; organized Polish Bakers Cooperative, instrumental in organizing the Polish Political Club in Shenandoah, Pa. In 1900, married Catherine Kedziora and in 1909 went to Philadelphia, Pa. Organized Polish Grocers Cooperative.
