Buszek, Francis
Merchant. Born Nov. 8, 1870 in Muszyna, Poland. Son of Joseph and Frances Jedrzejowski Buszek. Educated in Poland. In 1892 conscripted to military service; served three years in Austrian army. In 1895 came to United States. Worked in Nanticoke, Shenandoah, where he established a grocery business; organized Polish Bakers Cooperative, instrumental in organizing the Polish Political Club in Shenandoah, Pa. In 1900, married Catherine Kedziora and in 1909 went to Philadelphia, Pa. Organized Polish Grocers Cooperative. Member of several Polish organizations; very active in politics.
