Philologist, editor. Born in 1907 in Toledo. Ohio. Graduated from Univ. of Michigan, 1927. Studied in Warsaw Univ. and Univ. of Vienna. Worked in the Oriental Department of the Univ. of Vienna and later Univ. of Michigan, where she received Ph.D. in 1941. Author of: "A Practical Polish Grammar," "Greek Words in Coptic."
