Career: secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Polish Government in Exile, London, 1944-45; Interim Treasure Committee, London, 1945-48; in New York City - Free Europe Committee, 1950-61, general secretary, Self Determination Committee, 1961-65, vice president, Foreign News Service, 1965-75, president, Pilsudski Institute of America, 1978-83; Retired.

Author: numerous studies on political and economical problems of Poland and East - Central Europe.

Member of, i.a.: co-founder, council member, 1950-52, Polish Council representative in America, Polish Independence Movement "Niepodleglosc i Demokracja" (United Kingdom); board member, since 1961, Pilsudski Institute of America (president 1978-83); founder, president, Polish Federalist Association; American Political Science Association; Academy of Political Science; New York Newspaper Guild.
