Bertha Janke. Education: St. Michael's parochial school, Radom, Ill.; St. Bonaventure's High School, Pulaski, Wis.; St. Mary's Seminary, Green Bay, Wis.; San Antonio University, Rome, Italy. Degree Lector Generalis in Canon Law and Moral Theology, Administrator, Holy Trinity Parish, Pine Grove, Wis., 1926; Pastor St. Mary's of the Angels Church, Green Bay, Wis., 1937-39. Ordained to holy priesthood in the Roman Catholic Church. Aug. 28, 1920. In addition to parochial duties listed above, active in the following fields:
Professor at St. Bonaventure's High School, 1927-28; Professor at St. Mary's Seminary, Green Bay, Wis., 1923-27 and from 1934 to date; Commissary Provincial, Assumption Province, Franciscan Fathers Pulaski, Wis., 1928-34; Provincial Consultor, Assumption Province, 1934-37 and 1939-42; Custodian Assumption Province, 1942 to date. Editor of "Miesiecznik Franciszkanski" (Franciscan Monthly), published in Pulaski, Wis., 1927 and from 1939 to date. Author of numerous books, original works and translations. Contributed various articles to numerous magazines. Residence: 645 So. Irwin Ave., Green Bay, Wisconsin.
