Piekutowski, Alexander J.
Editor, Civic leader. Born April 28, 1888 in Poland, son of Julian and Josephine Glebinska-Piekutowski. Took part in the revolution against Russia in 1905; was captured in 1907, sent to Siberia. Fled and came to U.S., settling in Orange, N. J. Teacher of Polish; later engaged as editor of "Kronika," Newark, N. J. where he worked from 1913 until 1929; clerk in Department of Public Works, city of Newark and at the Immigration Bureau, Ellis Island. Died November 14, 1942 in Newark, N. J.
