Piotrowski, Rev. Sylvester Anthony, Ph.D.
Born August 10, 1903 in Milwaukee, Wis. Attended St. Adalbert's Parochial School; St. Francis Seminary; ordained Feb. 2, 1929. Served as curate in St. Hedwig's, 1929-1930; at SS. Cyril and Methodius, 1930-33; Chaplain of St. Mary's Academy, 1933; graduate work at Marquette University 1931-1933; the Catholic University of America, 1933-1935. Received bachelor of arts degree from St. Francis Seminary; Master of Arts from Marquette University; Doctor of Philosophy from the Catholic University of America, Washington, D. C., 1935; major sociology, first minor economics, second minor anthropology. Dean of the Philosophy department at Mt. Mary College; Dean of the sociology department at St. Francis Seminary; instructor of sociology at St. Clare College, Milwaukee, and at Alverno Teachers' College, Milwaukee. Author of "Etienne Cabet" and the "Voyage en Icarie," 1935. Address: St. Francis Seminary, St. Francis, Wis.
