Pniak, Rev. Anthony A.
Clergyman. Born in Rymanow, Poland, Dec. 28, 1883; son of Peter and Salomea (Soltysik) Pniak. Education: primary education in Rymanow, Przemysl, Poland. In 1889 came to Chicago, Ill.; graduated from St. Stanislaus College in 1903; theology studied at Kenrick Seminary, St. Louis, Mo. Ordained June 11, 1908. In 1908 nominated pastor of St. John Baptist parish, Monaca, Pa.; later pastor at Imperial, Pa., 1908-13; pastor of Holy Angels, Pittsburgh, Pa., 1913-20; pastor and organizer of St. Cyprian parish, Pittsburgh, Pa., 1920-37. Since 1937 pastor of Transfiguration parish, Mt. Pleasant, Pa. Residence: Hitchman St., Mt. Pleasant, Pa.
