Pomierski, Konstanty Stefan
Civic leader. Born in Lubawa Pomorze. Graduate of gymnasium; studied law, philosophy and psychology at Leipzig, London, New York and Indianapolis; graduate of Marqant Institute, licensed to practice General Insurance and Real Estate Brokerage; employed by The Federal Security Agency, National Youth Administration, in an administrative capacity as Nassau County Supervisor. Married and has one son, Joseph, age 21, at present in the United States Air Corps. Vice president of the New York State Conference of Polish Clubs, Chairman of Long Island Division. Member of the board of directors of the Polish National Honie, Glen Cove, Long Island, the Community Chest, the Neighborhood Association, Garden Guild, Polish National Alliance, Casimir Pulaski Group, Polish Relief Committee and an honorary member of the Polish War Veterans. Chairman of the Foreign Languages Division of the United States War Savings Staff and Secretary of the USO. City Commissioner of the Youth Service Commission, a municipal government agency, appointed by the Mayor and City Council; appointed by former Governor Herbert H. Lehman upon the recommendation of the Mayor as a member of the War Council, a state government agency. Member of the Advisory Board of the New York State Vocational School, Oyster Bay, and serves as a special deputy sheriff of Nassau County. Resides in Glen Cove, L. I., N. Y.
