Poniatowski, Ladislaus, Count
Settled in California, where he was the owner of a big gold and silver mine from 1905 to 1908. Member of the Polish National Alliance of America, he was considered the cousin of the last king of Poland, Stanislaus August Poniatowski, who abdicated the throne in 1795. He also lived in San Francisco, Cal. where he was a member of the Association of Poles in California, a society established in 1863. President of San Francisco Jockey Club.
